Style packs
A style pack is an immutable, dated bundle: one style block, an overlay template for palette and motif, a shot list, the guard rules learned from real runs, and the size presets. Packs are only ever added — a published pack is never edited, because records in the wild name a pack and have to keep meaning what they meant.
painterly-v1Painterly card illustration v1The first shipped style: painterly fantasy card-game illustration with dramatic directional light, a committed palette and full-bleed framing. Per-deck flavour arrived as a palette-plus-motif suffix (the STORM / TIDE era). Superseded by the poster packs for new work, but kept selectable forever — decks shipped under it still match it.poster-v1Flat-ink screen-print poster v1Probe-validated flat-ink screen-print poster illustration (gig-poster school): 3-4 flat spot-color inks on warm cream paper, flat background fields, gestural linework, halftone grain, dramatic negative space. Per-deck flavour is a thin ink-plus-motif overlay on the shared base block.poster-v2Flat-ink screen-print poster v2 (art-directed)poster-v1's rendering plus the art-direction layer that sits ABOVE the style block: a shot-type list applied as a hard filter, effect-first framing (illustrate the consequence or the item, not a character performing it) and the restraint rule (one focal point, everything else collapses to flat fields). This is the default pack for new work.
